IN MORE WORDS...

I never planned on becoming a graphic designer. As a child, I dreamed of being an artist, a storyteller, and an adventurer—three identities that, unbeknownst to me, would one day shape my career in design.

My journey began with art. My earliest masterpieces—proudly displayed on the family refrigerator—earned me the title of the artist, at least in my mother’s eyes. As I grew, I realized that art is more than self-expression; it is a means of communication. Graphic design became a natural extension of that belief—a way to distill complex ideas into compelling visuals that engage, inform, and inspire. My family, are still my biggest fans.

Storytelling soon followed. I spent my childhood spinning tales of Ms Merriweather, a globe-trotting adventurer who would make surprise appearances at my mother’s dinner parties, entertaining guests with her latest escapades. Through her, I discovered the power of narrative—how a well-told story captivates and lingers long after the last word. That understanding remains central to my design philosophy: without a strong narrative, even the most stunning visuals risk becoming forgettable.

Adventure, too, was a constant in my life. Growing up in a multinational family meant that discovery was woven into my everyday experience. Exposure to different cultures not only nurtured my curiosity but also revealed the universal language of design—one that transcends borders, bridges perspectives, and speaks to the heart of human connection. In today’s fast-moving world, understanding cultural nuances and social dynamics is essential for crafting designs that don’t just make brands stand out, but set them apart. After all, a diamond among diamonds may go unnoticed, but a single striking pebble? That’s what draws the eye.
